this one was using f stop36 for 1/4 seconds and then dragging the camera downwards ^^ :D incase anyone was wondering

again i was playing around with my camera's focus while taking pictures of light around trees

the f stop was 5.6 for 1/8 sec. just incase anyone wonders :D

TWLOHA day

to write love on her arms day is a non profit organization which aims to present hope and find help for people struggling with problems such as depression, drug addiction, self-injury, and suicide, so ISB today had a whole load of people walking around with love on their arms including me .... when i got home i decided to take a picture of this and put it up on the blog in honor of this organization and probably all the people it has saved.

photshop class

So for my self initiated CAS i started a photoshop club, and well i'm having problems i'm trying to get the little kids interested in the club but i don't really have much of an idea what to teach them that would interest them i've spent some time thinking about it and i still really don't know, so i just wanna know what are the things you want to learn in photoshop because then i might be able to figure out what kind of things i need to learn

about the pictures

hey guys i've been asked a few times about seeing these pictures in full size unfortunately because of a few problems i have with copyrights and theft i can't really show full sized pictures because well i don't technically have any legal right to the pictures i upload here so if you really want to see the full resolution picture of anything that comes up here please just find me and ask me to show them to you ^^ because well that's the only way full resolutions are ever coming out

so one day i went over to st. john's school and went with some of the seniors for lunch and this was the first time i had my speedlight so i thought i'd share with you guys one of my first few speedlighted photo's :) this is auji .. apparently she's vain

i don't wanna grow up

so my birthday approaches and encroaches like a tiger stalking it's prey....

but then the truth is i don't wanna grow up the world in even the near future is uncertain and well i don't wanna get old i just wanna stay this way it's alright that i can't legally drive and that i can't exactly do what i want .. it's hard enough going to ISB and taking IB let alone worry that i don't have any friends or at least hardly have any friends, what's more holding down this photography thing is hard enough without having to worry about my homework and my schooling and everything else inbetween.

sigh......

and that's what brings me to the sad part i might not be able to upload that many photo's anymore i've just been so bogged down with all this work that my hands are tied.... i guess i'll just have to work harder huh?

sports advert

so today the school had a little race and well in the final leg of this race you have to sprint back to the starting line... wow couldn't they think of something like i dunno walk to the finish line that sounds way more interesting i think 0.o hahahaha lol maybe just more unorthodox...

anyway this kid was running back full on just like a super power charged run and then he kind trips and does a back flip and i'm like "HOLY SHIT " hahaha how did he do that? well simple explanation is that his shoes PWNED his feet i guess and well just in memory of that i took a picture so here it is

forced perspective

i took a quick look through my old galleries on my hard disk and i came across this


for those of you not entirely photogreaphy savvy forced perspective is basically a technique that is used to create optical illusion to make an objects and or people appear farther, closer, larger or smaller than they actually are. I have 1 example on this post if you guys like it please comment so i know what you all would like to see ^^

coming back

coming back to school that was a pretty crazy week so i wasn't able to take any photo's at all however just so the i keep this blog running i just thought i'd talk about taking the pictures for the IB students tags very new experience a bit more rush rush but i feel for me and shawn that, that experience was a good step towards becoming more professional, i do feel that everyone felt a little bit better that 2 other IB students were taking the pictures and were able to smile alot more ..... naturally? haha

i enjoyed doing it surprisingly .... didn't sleep till 1am though because i was anal enough about my photo's to send them through photoshop before i handed them in.....

a few things i've learnt auto white balance is incredibly useful and auto ISO helps when you take a few test shots then switching the ISO to manual because of the repetitiveness of the shots gave great nearlly constant photo's.

hopefully the new tags will come out looking great :D

so yeah i'm bored so i decided to start a new project iPod ad spoof.

We've all seen those iPod ad's the silhouettes and dancing and so on

we've also seen the spoofs, but you haven't seen everything so i decided i'm going to try and make something original hopefully i'll come across it so from now on chances are the pictures i upload are for this project :D

okay so after thinking about it and mulling over the idea I've decided to start a blog this will be my 3rd attempt to make a blog however this time i have something more than convoluted thoughts and idea's to put up online, as a photographer I'll be posting up some of my more "artistic" photo's.
